A Platform for Performance, Expression, and Growth
Soundskool is proud to present Soundskool Superstars 2026, a student competition dedicated to celebrating performance, confidence, and musical expression.
Designed to go beyond technical learning, this competition creates a space where students bring their music to life through stage presence, creativity, and personal interpretation.
What is Soundskool Superstars?
Soundskool Superstars is a multi-instrument performance competition where students across different disciplines and genres come together on one stage.
This format encourages:
- Diverse musical expression
- Cross-instrument interaction
- A stronger focus on performance quality, not just technique
Students perform as solo acts, either independently or with a backing track.
Performance Guidelines
To ensure fairness and consistency, the competition follows a clear structure:
- Open to all instruments, except:
- Piano solo
- Drum solo
- Any genre is allowed
- Minimum performance length: 1 minute
- Format:
- Solo performance
- With or without backing track (no duet with teacher)
- Each student must introduce the following:
- Their name
- The title of the piece
Note: Piano students may participate only with backing tracks. Piano solo performances should be directed to the piano competition (The Piano Awards).
Competition Structure
First Round: Video Submission
Students begin by submitting a performance video.
- Recording must be continuous (no editing)
- Can be recorded:
- At home
- At school
- With teacher or independently
- Submission is coordinated by teachers through the official form.

All entries will be reviewed by Soundskool management, and selected participants will advance to the final round.
Final Round: Live Performance
Finalists will perform live:
- In front of juries and parents
- During an open event at Soundskool
- Across Phnom Penh and Siem Reap campuses
This stage emphasizes real performance experience, where preparation meets a live audience.
Age Categories
Participants will compete in three groups:
- 6–9 years old
- 10–13 years old
- 14+ years old
Each category will have one winner.
Prizes & Recognition
- Winners: Trophy awards and certificate of achievement
- Finalists: Certificate of participation
Beyond awards, every participant gains valuable stage experience and a clear milestone in their musical journey.
Important Dates
- 31 May 2026: Deadline for first-round video submission
- 8 June 2026: Announcement of finalists
- 21 June 2026: Grand Finale (Live Performance)
